The kitchen breakfast nook resulted from one of the project’s few structural alterations; a new mudroom and bathroom for the outdoor pool are on the other side of the back wall. “It gave us this opportunity to do something that was kind of cozy and tucked in,” Britt, who worked alongside local contractor Brinton Brosius, says of the dining area. “It’s just a very open family-oriented space.” Seating consists of counter stools from Anthropologie, Kohlo dining chairs from Haute Living, and a custom banquette covered in fabrics from Pallas Textiles (on the seat) and Sien + Co (on the back). The pendant light by Ingo Maurer from Lumens draws attention to the ceiling wallpaper from Louise Jones. The clients’ own artworks hang on a wall painted in Benjamin Moore’s Waller Green.
